Greenlake Urban Addition

This Seattle property, located a few blocks from Greenlake, was recently purchased by the owners with plans to downsize and move into this new home.  The current building was originally designed as a store and converted over the years into a duplex.  The new design includes converting the structure into a single family home with a full renovation of both floors of the structure. A new stair addition is designed to connect the two floors. The existing non-conforming detached garage will be rebuilt and designed with a bridge from the house to a new covered outdoor living area above the garage.  The current structure is non-conforming to the City of Seattle zoning standards, therefore the design needed to be carefully considered to meet the strict requirements for the remodel and addition.

The project is currently under construction.
