Mercer Island Reimagined

The owners of this Mercer Island home approached H2D with a vision to fully remodel and reimagine their existing two-story home. The design vision included enhancing the functionality of the spaces, developing better efficiency of the layout, and providing a more open plan. The main floor will be reconfigured to meet the goals of the program. The kitchen will be relocated and designed in a larger footprint. The kitchen has been designed as a Kosher kitchen with access to a walk-in pantry and an outdoor covered area with outdoor cooking capabilities. A new mud and laundry area has been designed off the garage to provide a drop-zone for coats, shoes and bags. The dining and living areas are designed with an open plan providing flexibility for the dining table to be expanded for entertaining. A built-in wet bar with sink and refrigerator will be located in the dining area. The main floor primary suite will be remodeled with a vaulted ceiling, walk-in closet, and spa-like bathroom. The lower floor is designed with a secondary kitchen, guest bedrooms, and additional laundry space.
